Donate to Save Sullivans

Support the Save Sullivans campaign and play a crucial role in safeguarding this precious ecosystem for generations to come. As environmentalist Wangari Maathai said, “It's the little things citizens do. That's what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees.” Your contribution can help us protect the beauty of Sullivans and ensure it thrives for future visitors. Let's work together to maintain this treasured resource for Arizona!

A Note About Donations

Donations below $100 will be kept by the Prescott Climbers Coalition to support ongoing sustainability and restoration efforts in the climbing areas if this campaign is unsuccessful. Donations of $100 or more can be refunded if the campaign is unsuccessful. Phase 1 of this campaign aims to secure $50,000 or more from private donors, while Phase 2 will focus on obtaining additional grants and corporate contributions.

The Access Team was created by the Prescott Climbers Coalition upon becoming more aware of the time-sensitive issue of the 10-acre parcel of Upper Sullivan's Canyon being for sale.

The Access Team initiated the Save Sullivans Campaign, working closely with Trust for Public Land, and identified its fundraising strategy to purchase the parcel at the appraised value of $400k.

Save Sullivans Campaign is awarded a grant from The Access Fund to conduct a campaign through 2025.

Save Sullivans Campaign officially launches and begins collecting donations.

Town of Chino Valley Council will conduct official vote on taking ownership of 10-acre parcel after funding is raised to purchase the property by Save Sullivans Campaign and Trust for Public Land.

The Process

1

Collect Donations

Collecting donations from the community is vital for the success of our initiative, as it demonstrates a collective commitment to the cause. Your contributions not only provide essential resources but also foster a sense of and support among community members. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring about positive change.

2

Receive Grants & Corporate Sponsorship

Donors can look forward to matching funds from local businesses, enhancing the impact of their contributions. Additionally, the Land and Water Conservation Fund will also provide matching support, amplifying the benefits of every dollar donated. Together, we can make a significant difference in our conservation efforts.

3

Provide Land to Town of Chino Valley

The Upper Sullivans Canyon area will be officially owned by the Town of Chino Valley to ensure that public access is preserved for generations to come. This initiative highlights the town's commitment to maintaining natural spaces for recreational use and community enjoyment. The PCC will help manage the land for all users.
